Hi Tanner.

Disneyland food (some)

I was excited to do a spread on the food we ate there, turned out i didnt take alot of food picture. I guess it was difficult to eat and take pictures or the presence of my vultures...ahem, i mean my kids does not encourage letting go of my food for pictures.
So here's to the few i took while we were there. Fall of 2012.
My first Chinese meal in Disneyland. Orange chicken over rice. I was craving rice, filling but not that good.
 Marshmallow Mickey, Mainstreet CA
Frontierland, my favorite spot for a meal and show. Chili Bowl, fish and chicken fry
 A very good chocolate cake.
Carsland. 50's style blueplate meal.

Not pictured: hot chocolate, coffee, honeycomb, pretzels, popcorn, sandwiches while watching Fantasmic, and an extemely huge amount of churros and very crunchy corndogs

Winter puttering

These paper whites were beautiful, unfortunately the smell is too much for us so i have to put it outside. That little tree right behind the flower is a lemon tree that gave me hundreds of lemons every year.

A late Christmas baking: peanut butter blossom cookies
Just some of the lemons from our little tree in the backyard.

sick sick

It started on ML Day, i climb up to bed to do my morning cuddle with Tanner. He was burning hot. I gave him some medicine and stayed in bed with him pretty much the whole day, napping next to him , going online, watching tv, reading. Poor baby slept all day. Sawyer would come in once in a while to visit. I would shooo him away so he wouldnt catch the bug. Tanner was sick for three days, and on the 4th day we ship him off to school much o his chagrin. By that time Sawyer as the one staying home with fever and tummy issues. Tanner stresses that he cannot go to school by himself, or take the bus by himself, or go to day care, "Sawyer and I are partners! " he insisted. I reassured him that i will make it easy for him, i will drive him all the way to school, at 8:20 so he doesnt have to hang around waiting like they do every morning and his dad will pick him up as soon as the bus gets to their student care so he doesnt even have to walk to student care. Nothing brightened his day that Thursday. Not even the donut holes that he couldnt eat, well, he ate two and gave the rest to me.  When he came home that day, he had a fever again. Maybe fear and dread can trigger a relapse? The picture above is what Sawyer looked like from Wed. to the next week Monday. My breastfed baby had never been that sick for that long. I was worried but the advice nurse said there was something going around and the fever can last 5 to 7 days. So ok, i figured i will give it a few more days. Hopefully tomorrow should be a good day and his first day back. I swear i did not plan to match the plate to the sheet-blanket.

Time line: Monday, Tanner sick(fever) and slept all day with hardly any food
Tuesday: Tanner is still sick, eating more now though.  Sawyer went to school. His dad dropped him off student care and he walked to the bus since the bus doesnt come until 7:40 and he has to go to work at 7.
                   Wednesday: Sawyer and Tanner sick
Thursday:    Sawyer sick, Tanner went to school
                     Friday: Both sick again
Saturday: Tanner is better, Sawyer was  abit better (suddenly i realized how quiet the house has been the last few days)
Sunday: Tanner is still doing well and Sawyer's fever started again
Monday : Tanner went ot school and Sawyer stayed home with no fever but still lethargic and tummy issues.
Its hard being a working mom, specially when days like these comes your way, a weeks' worth of working halfday with the workload not wavering. I stayed home while Jeff went to work and come home at 2 then i go to work for 6 hours. I am drinking tons of liguid, water kefir and echinacea. We shall see what tomorrow brings.
