Little League Opening Ceremony
7:15 in the morning, March 20, 2011. A very rainy windy Saturday.
Waiting for the parade to start.
On the way to breakfast, Jeff debating if he should take off his Giants shirt (the Giants being his least favorite baseball team but that is Tanner’s team and he is coaching it) Its either wear Giants shirt or show his man boobs. The shirt went in.
Sawyer can sometimes eat like a grown man. And he did at Hometown Buffet.
Hamburger weekend
For the past month,we have been eating hamburger every weekend. The above burger is from the new to us Smash Burger. I dislike overpriced complicated burger joints. I just want to walk in a say “Combo 1 hold the cheese” This place is fancy.
In and Out burger, sorry we cheated and went somewhere else!
When my sister Rowena and family came to visit us last year, the first meal Edward wanted was In and Out. Jeff and I are not big fan, we prefer Nations and other greasy burger joints. The last meal Edward wanted was also In and Out, after the left, we became In and Out fan. Jeff and I watched a documentary and was really impressed with the way In and Out ran their business. Plus Thomas Keller named it as his favorite burger joint. Now how cool is that.
Homemade butter
Pea soup
I found a bag of Andersen Pea Soup in my pantry, and since i am being frugal, I have to make it. Its raining and soup is the perfect dish. We actually got this bag a few years ago during our trip to Disneyland. Not a fan of pea soup and i am guessing the kids are not either. So to make it more appetizing (and to practice his hand writing) I ask Sawyer to write the menu.
Tanner drew the sandwich and wrote soup and bread, i spelled it for him but he wrote it pretty good. Sawyer ate a bowl but grudgingly, Tanner refused and Jeff ate two bowls. Total cost of dinner, less than $5.00 and a pretty healthy one too.

Just because
A late Valentine post
I came home from working late to this on Valentine’s Day. My boys all clean and proudly showering me with their creations. The balloons were from me to them. The chocolates were from my hubby to me.
Counting their Valentines from school. Each of them was told to bring enough valentine card for their classmates.
Then I asked them if they each want to write a Valentine card for our neighbor. They said yes! and off they went to deliver as soon as they were done.
My honor student
This is Sawyer with his second grade teacher, Mrs. Traszka. She contacted us to let us know how much she believes in Sawyer and will be recommending him to a Gate Program. We put in our application yesterday, i hope we get it! It will be such a great opportunity for my Sawyer.
I took the day off to attend his assembly and take him out of school early to celebrate. We went to IHOP. Sawyer ordered waffles and eggs , hash and bacon. He tried all the syrup and declared the old fashion syrup to be the best. I puff with pride, this is my baby, my first born. He is doing so well in school, in his baseball, gets along with all his schoolmates. Everybody loves Sawyer, specially his mommy.
Fruit syrup on the side please. Oh, he ate for free, I didn't even know that IHOP for the month of March, kids eat for free every Thursday.

Tanner turns 5!
My baby is all grown up, mommy i so sad and proud. Tanner, you dont know how happy i was this morning when you stayed in bed and cuddled with me while you watch your cartoon for almost two hours! I asked Sawyer to come downstairs with me when you started to get restless and want to get your day started. You were pleasantly surprised to find all these waiting for you. You also love your red wagon present and was perfectly happy to sit on it before your dad had a chance to put it together.
At 3 in the afternoon we went to your first practice. After practice we distributed cupcakes and your teammates sang happy birthday to you. You were so proud, specially after you finished a whole bottle of a in one shot! You even went to your coach to let him know this accomplishment, i heard people saying how cute you are. After practice we went to Straw Hat, you choice and while we were there, you had to go pee 4 times!
Happy birthday my Tanner, you will always and forever be my baby!
